Welcome to the Northeast Neighborhood Blog!

Hello, neighbors, and welcome aboard!

We owe a huge thanks to Notre Dame, and especially Hilary Crnkovich (Vice President for Public Affairs and Communication) for covering the cost of the site design, Jackie Rucker (Director of Community Relations) for suggesting the NENC to manage a Northeast Neighborhood site, and Matt Klawitter, Chas Grundy, and Erik Runyon from ND’s Web Design Group for the many hours of site design and answering our sometimes endless questions.  The NENC has talked for years about having a website, but until this opportunity came along, we were not much farther along than just talk.  We look forward to hosting a forum for people in our neck of the urban woods to talk, share information, and problem solve issues we share.  In this era of technology, I look forward to meeting many “new” neighbors along the way.

The site is launched, but we still have a lot of work to do.  You’ll see some “under construction” signs on a few pages, but check back soon and often, because we are still working hard to get them in place.  And don’t hold back feedback–good, bad, or ugly.  We expecially need to know what’s not working to make the site valuable for all of the Northeast Neighbors.  You can send feedback to info@northeastneighborhood.com.

Thanks for visiting–and don’t forget that the entire neighborhood is invited to come to the NENC Back-To-School picnic tonight at the Robinson Center.  Hope to see you there!
